The Chinese History Museum was originally established in the late 1990s. In 2010, we were commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism Sarawak to refurbish the museum with the aim to offer visitors a more interactive experience, rich in well-researched information and the latest multimedia technology.

We took up the challenge and within five months, this 2,000 sq. ft. heritage building, once the Chinese Community Court was completely overhauled. It now features a mini Chinese theatre, audio visual terminals, interactive kiosks and numerous Chinese artefacts.

This is the one and only museum that offers visitors a glimpse into the history of all the major Chinese dialect groups residing in Sarawak by tracing back stories of early migrations, trades and pioneers.
